This summer, the largest and wildest of Canada’s Rocky Mountain parks will offer more adventures than ever before. New Jasper adventure tours will allow visitors to experience the magnificent Canadian Rockies in a brand new way.
Experience the mountains as early explorers did with WildCurrent Outfitters. Paddling on one of Jasper National Park’s pristine lakes in a handmade cedar-strip canoe, visitors can watch for wildlife and learn the rich history and traditions of Canada’s canoe culture. Those wanting a bigger challenge can embark on an all-inclusive multi-day rafting trip down the Snake Indian River.
Rockaboo Mountain Adventures has certified mountain guides ready to take visitors on a wild tour of Jasper’s peaks. Exploring deep canyons, scaling glaciers and climbing to the mountain-tops for a view from the clouds makes for an unparalleled Canadian Rockies adventure. Their new Dark Sky Rappel is a late night two-hour climb for the ultra-adventurous, where guests experience the world’s largest accessible dark sky from a whole new perspective.
A thrilling adventure deep down into Jasper’s water-filled gorges and valleys awaits with Rocky Mountain Canyoning. Geared up in wet suits and attached to safety ropes, guests descend down waterfalls, float along streams and follow the steep curves of ancient rock canyons. It’s a one-of-a-kind guided tour of some of Jasper’s most spectacular landscapes.
