'The Great Canadian Sugar Rush' arrives at Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge March 22-24

March 13, 2019
March marks the start of the Canadian Maple Season and to celebrate our nation’s favourite sweet treat, Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge is hosting a three-day, jam-packed celebration - ‘The Great Canadian Sugar Rush’, a brand-new festival-style event that will take place in Kananaskis from March 22 - 24, 2019.

At the delicious core of the festival, will be the Winter Carnival, where visitors young and old can delight in a mountain-sized amount of classically-Canadian activities.  There’ll be a dog sleigh display, ice chipping station, traditional wagon rides, a beaver tail contest, skating party, and live music by the bonfire! All this, will be taking place in Kananaskis Village, just steps away from the Lodge lobby.
And when Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge promises a fun festival in honour of maple, you can guarantee to find all-things maple - and so many opportunities to indulge in sugary sweetness throughout the weekend!  The adults can enjoy the maple-inspired cocktail bar (complete with campfire s’mores and fiddle entertainment), and for the kiddies there’ll be maple syrup taffy – and did we mention the truly Canadian maple breakfast?!
To balance out the sugar rush, Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge has also made sure to add lots of outdoor mountain time and Kananaskis adventures into the mix, with snowshoe tours, stargazing, exploring a waterfall by fat bike, mountain yoga, and even learning how wildlife survives the Canadian winter (and build your own snow shelter) during the ‘Little Guide’ session!
